Fix the port channel

NetLab lab Advanced 3 tasks 30 points

Someone tried to bundle SW1 and SW2's Gi0/1 and Gi0/2 into a trunk port channel, Po1, using LACP. It isn't working: show etherchannel summary looks wrong on both switches. Fix it so Po1 is up on both switches, with both links bundled, as a trunk, using LACP.

How it works: this is VulnTech NetLab, a network simulator running in your browser. Click a device in the diagram to open its console and type commands, just like on real equipment (? shows help, Tab finishes a word). Click a cable to inspect it. Tasks tick themselves off as you complete them; questions are answered in the box under each task. Your work is kept if you reload; Reset starts the network over.

Solution explanation

Both ends were passive, so each waited for the other to start LACP and the ports stayed stand-alone (I). Making either side active fixes that. Then SW2's Gi0/2 was forced to 100 Mb/s, so it didn't match Gi0/1 (1000 Mb/s) and was suspended (s); removing speed 100 lets it negotiate gigabit and join.
