Bring the links up
PC1 can't reach its gateway, router R1 (192.168.1.1). Nothing is wrong with the addresses; the trouble is at the physical layer. Find the ports that are off and bring them up, then prove PC1 can reach the router.
How it works: this is VulnTech NetLab, a network simulator running in your browser. Click a device in the diagram to open its console and type commands, just like on real equipment (? shows help, Tab finishes a word). Click a cable to inspect it. Tasks tick themselves off as you complete them; questions are answered in the box under each task. Your work is kept if you reload; Reset starts the network over.
Hints
Coloured dots on the diagram: orange means a port was shut down on purpose.
Solution explanation
Two ports were shut down: the router's Gi0/0 (shown as administratively down) and the switch port Fa0/2 that PC1 uses (shown as disabled in show interfaces status). no shutdown on each brought the links up, and the log messages confirmed it. A ping from PC1 proved the path works end to end.
