OSPFv3 across the triangle

NetLab lab Intermediate 4 tasks 20 points

The three routers have IPv6 addresses and IPv6 routing on, but no IPv6 routes. Run OSPFv3 process 1 in area 0 on every interface (LANs, links and loopbacks). Router IDs: R1 1.1.1.1, R2 2.2.2.2, R3 3.3.3.3. The LAN interfaces (R1 Gi0/0, R2 Gi0/2, R3 Gi0/2) must be passive.

How it works: this is VulnTech NetLab, a network simulator running in your browser. Click a device in the diagram to open its console and type commands, just like on real equipment (? shows help, Tab finishes a word). Click a cable to inspect it. Tasks tick themselves off as you complete them; questions are answered in the box under each task. Your work is kept if you reload; Reset starts the network over.

Solution explanation

OSPFv3 has no network command: each interface joins with ipv6 ospf 1 area 0. interface range saves typing. Loopbacks are advertised as /128 host routes, just as OSPFv2 advertises them as /32s.
